The Powder Blue House

Everyone is suddenly doing things for the house, so I've decided to record whenever I do something too. Even little things. I refuse to be left behind in this flurry of activity.

I won't dwell on my past contributions like mowing the lawn or on the neglect and sloppiness that I had come to passively accept. I will now eagerly go with the new direction, which is what I wanted in the first place when I moved in!

Here are my most recent good deeds:

Two days ago (January 18th), I shoveled the front steps in the morning on my way to work. I had cracked the standing ice on our doorstep two days prior (January 16th), by pouring hot water on it and pounding it with a shovel. A pretty good result: I was able to free the welcome mat that was deeply embedded in the ice, and clear a safe path for our feet.

I also curbed the garbage.
